हैदराबाद, 07 अप्रैल (वार्ता) तेलंगाना में भारत राष्ट्र समित(बीआरएस) के एक विधायक पार्टी को तगड़ा झटका देते हुए रविवार को कांग्रेस में शामिल हो गये।

पार्टी सूत्रों ने के अुनसार आसन्न लोकसभा चुनाव के दौरान लगातार परेशानियों से जूझ रही बीआरएस को उस समय एक और बड़ा झटका लगा जब भद्राचलम निर्वाचन क्षेत्र का प्रतिनिधित्व करने वाले पार्टी विधायक तेलम वेंकटराव आधिकारिक तौर पर कांग्रेस पार्टी में शामिल हो गए।”

मुख्यमंत्री रेवंत रेड्डी ने कांग्रेस का अंगवस्त्र ओढ़ाकर श्री वेंकटराव का गर्मजोशी से स्वागत किया।

पिछले साल दिसंबर में हुए तेलंगाना विधानसभा चुनावों के दौरान श्री वेंकटराव संयुक्त खम्मम जिले से एकमात्र बीआरएस उम्मीदवार के रूप में विजयी हुए, जबकि कांग्रेस ने आठ और भारतीय कम्युनिस्ट पार्टी ने शेष नौ सीटों में से एक सीट हासिल की।

इसके पहले बीआरएस को करारा झटका देते हुए खैरताबाद और स्टेशनघनपुर के बीआरएस विधायक दानम नागेंद्र और कादियाम श्रीहरि, सांसदों और प्रमुख नेताओं के साथ कांग्रेस में शामिल हो गये थे।
